Because of the distance, most travellers on this route bring a driver with an overnight halt, or break the journey with a stop in Ajmer/Pushkar — either option is available at booking.
The Jaipur–Udaipur drive naturally passes through Ajmer and the holy lake town of Pushkar — both make for an easy 1–2 hour stopover roughly halfway through the trip. Further south, the road runs through Pali, known for its textile trade, before descending into the Aravalli hills toward Udaipur.
Given the distance, many travellers split this into a two-day trip with an overnight stop, or simply leave Jaipur early to arrive in Udaipur by evening. Tell us your preference when booking.
